Garden Centre Haul Video

January is the perfect time for planning your allotment garden but It’s also a time to go crazy at the sales! I’ve been shopping like mad, grabbing as many plant bulbs as I could, tools and things I didn’t realise I needed, before waddling to the till trying not to drop anything. In my first EVER vlog, I share all the garden goodies that I bought from Homebase and B&Q in the sales!

Remember I made an Allotment Resolutionย to make more videos? Well here I am!ย I would love to know what you think (but please be kind, haha!).

The 30 cyclamen & 30 pansies at 10p each was an amazing bargain from B&Q. I’m not sure how well the pansies will survive throughout the year, but together with the cyclamen they’re going to brighten up the back of the plot!

Cyclamen, pansy flowers & planter

I have a lot of preparation to do before I can plant anything in the woodland area and a large troublesome spot to clear! I just really hope I can get the majority of it done before spring, when I already have a long list of jobs to complete – eek! The tea cup planter has to be my favourite, what about yours?

  1. I bought a bag of bulbs for one pound as well! Love the tea cup planter. Did you get it from Homebase?

    1. Yay ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป I got the teacup and everything except the plants from Homebase. I almost dropped all my stuff when I saw it! โ˜•๏ธ It was inside by all the houseplants if you go hunting for one! ๐Ÿ˜Š

  3. Great haul there Katrina, the seed sower is especially useful as is the small handsaw. Looking forward to seeing your plot in action..

  4. What a great haul – I love the idea of planting cyclamen in your shady area – If I can track down any 10p plants I’m tempted to copy! Hmmm, might have to forgo healthy new year swim in favour of trip to Homebase, I want one of those tea cup planters! (Would look great with maybe snowdrops and some herbs, thyme, perhaps …). Lovely first vlog, have subscribed.

  5. […] daffodils and tulips. I plan on having a cut flower bed too using my new planter featured on my Garden Haul Video! I’m thinking of planting it with dahlia tubers, gladioli with maybe some cosmos in between. […]
